Flag-Wavers
Group
of
San
Quirico
d'Orcia
born in 1976 in this village nearly famous for his architectural and
landscape beauties and also for tradiction and the class of his
Flag-Wavers.
The Deep medieval air you can breathe in San Quirico d'Orcia is evident
also in our group, that dresses in his shows tasteful and old costumes
carefully drawn by famous designers medieval costumes of Siena.Like in many others medieval villages
also in San Quirico d'Orcia the flag is not only a simple object, but it
represent a symbol that at that time contained many and important
meanings such as to signal the enemy advance or the hearty welcome of
the troops after a victory on war.

Where
are |
Situated on the
green hills in the centre of the "valdorcia park", between the colors
and the sweet smells of aa still intact nature, lies a little medieval
village that still preserves the precious historical testimonies and it
makes treasure of it. San Quirico
d'Orcia, 2.500 villagers, has still a
boundary wall almost intact, three wonderful churches of different age
with precious testimonies of painters and sculptors, a very beautiful
park called "gli Horti Leonini" drawn by Diomede Leoni and a gate, the last remaning after the second

Quirico d'Orcia flag-wavers group made many shows in every part of italy, in some
european countries.

Our group is composed by 25/30 members
between Flag-Wavers, musicians, people carryng flag and wants to know
the waving art to the other people preserving the high name of the
village releasing the "sanquirichese flag-waving" image.The shows include individual performances, small and big team all
extremely demanding both on athletic and on choreografic level.The various amount of our flag-wavings goes perefectly whit every kind
of festival and always guarantees a spectacular effect in all festival
we take part.
